About
Jaigarh Fort
Home to the world's largest cannon on wheels, Jaivana, Jaigarh Fort was the main military stronghold of the Rajput kingdom, offering commanding views of Amber Fort below.
Built in 1726 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles), Jaigarh Fort was the military fortress protecting Amber Fort below. Its massive walls and tower make it a formidable structure. The fort was largely closed to the public until 1983, leading to legendary treasure hunt stories.
